Which height of glass brush do I need?
Eighteen centimetres is enough for tumblers, wine glasses and ordinary beer glasses. For tall speciality beer glasses, highballs and vases you need 25 centimetres, otherwise the brush does not reach the bottom of the glass.
Why should I rinse beer glasses with a brush?
Because grease makes the head collapse. You cannot see a film of grease on the wall, but it breaks the bubbles the moment you pour. A brush removes that film; a rinse with water alone does not.
What water temperature should I use in the sink?
Lukewarm water with a dash of glass-washing liquid. Water that is too hot fixes grease onto the glass and can crack a thin rim. Then rinse in clean cold water to remove soap residue.
Can I replace the brush heads separately?
Yes, the heads are available separately and fit the existing base. Replace them as soon as the bristles splay out or stay flat, because then they no longer scour, they merely stroke.
