Is Borgonovo dishwasher safe?
Yes. Borgonovo jugs and drinking glasses are made of thick pressed glass and designed for daily washing, including in a commercial machine. Stand jugs upside down so no water stays behind in the base.
Which size of water jug suits a laid dining table?
For four to six people a jug of about a litre is the practical size. It fills four to six glasses without needing a refill, and stays light enough to lift with one hand.
Where does the name Borgonovo come from?
From Borgonovo Val Tidone, a town in the Italian province of Piacenza where the glassworks stands. The brand name therefore refers to the production site and not to a designer or a founder.
What is the difference from Bormioli Rocco?
Both are Italian producers of everyday glassware. Bormioli Rocco carries a much wider range of drinking glasses and wine goblets, whereas the Borgonovo selection here is mainly aimed at pouring: jugs, a pitcher and a beer glass.
