How full should you pour an 81 cl bowl?
To about a third, so 12 to 15 cl. That seems little but is exactly the point: the empty space above the wine is where the aroma gathers. Fill past the widest point and the shape loses its function.
Which Salute glass suits white wine?
The 46.5 cl is the logical choice, because a smaller glass keeps the wine cold for longer. If the white has some body or oak influence, the 55 cl gives more room to swirl without the wine warming up too quickly.
Why is the flute only 21 cl?
A narrow, small flute holds the bubbles longer and means you finish a glass of sparkling wine before it goes warm. If you prefer a more generous pour, simply top up twice in the same glass.
Will these glasses fit an ordinary kitchen cupboard?
Measure your shelf height first. The 81 cl is tall and does not fit under every shelf, and a glass you have to tilt to close the door will break sooner or later. The 46.5 and 55 cl cause far fewer problems.
