What sizes does the Experts Collection come in?
The series comprises four wine bowls of 29, 34, 43 and 55 cl, complemented by a 27 cl champagne coupe and a 45 cl tumbler. All glasses are supplied in sets of six, so you can build up the series step by step.
Which glass do you choose for white wine?
For crisp white wine, take the 29 cl bowl, because the small capacity keeps the wine cold. For riper white wine and rosé, the 34 cl glass gives the aroma more room without warming up quickly.
Why is this series called the Experts Collection?
Royal Leerdam developed the bowls together with sommeliers and other wine professionals. The starting point was which shapes people who work with wine every day use themselves, not which glass looks best in the shop.
Are these glasses made of crystal?
No, they are soda-lime glass with a thin rim. That makes the glasses less costly than crystal and perfectly suitable for the dishwasher, while the thin rim is still barely noticeable at the table.
