Which wine glass sizes does Invino have?
The wine bowls run from 38 cl for crisp white wine through 45 and 56 cl to 65 cl and a 66 cl Grand Cuvee for wines with more body. There is also a 67 cl copa.
What do you use the 67 cl glass for?
That is the copa, originally a Spanish wine shape that became the standard for gin and tonic. The wide bowl lets the botanicals and the aromas of the tonic come through instead of trapping them in the glass.
How full do you pour a wine glass?
No further than the widest point of the bowl. For white wine that is about a quarter of the capacity, for red wine a third. Above that the aroma escapes past the rim instead of staying in the glass.
Can crystal glass go in the dishwasher?
This series can go in on a short glassware programme. Because crystal glass is thinner, limescale shows up sooner and the rim is more vulnerable. Rinsing with soft water and drying with a lint-free cloth prevents spots.
