The sizes run from tumblers of 16, 20 and 27 cl through 30, 31 and 35 cl to long drink glasses of 42, 46 and 65 cl. For water on the table you are well served around 20 to 30 cl, for soft drinks with ice around 31 cl, and for iced coffee or a long drink the larger sizes. Because all the glasses share the same curve and base, a table with three sizes side by side still looks calm.

Tempered glass has its surface put under tension, which makes it more resistant to knocks and temperature changes than ordinary glass. That makes it suitable for a dishwasher running all day. If it does break, it falls apart into blunt pieces rather than shards, which behind a bar is the difference between sweeping up and a cut. Just never pour boiling water into a glass that has come straight out of the fridge.
