What sizes does the Vinifera range have?
The wine bowls measure 45 and 79 cl. The same collection also includes a small glass of 8.8 cl for port and grappa. All the glasses are made of lead-free crystal glass with a thin rim.
What do you use a 79 cl bowl for?
For red wine with firm tannins that needs air. The large surface lets the wine open up within a few minutes. Do not pour more than a third into it, or the wine gets too little contact with the air.
Is 45 cl suitable for white wine?
Yes. In a 45 cl bowl you naturally pour a modest measure, which keeps white wine cool to the last sip. The same bowl also works for lighter red wine, which makes it the most useful size in the range.
How do you keep the stem from breaking?
When drying, never turn the bowl while holding the foot still. Hold the foot and move the cloth inside the bowl. Place the glasses apart in the dishwasher so the stems do not lean against anything.
