Sourz
The brightly colored sweet-and-sour liqueur you drink ice-cold as a shot or mix with 7-Up. Everything about the flavors, the percentage, the cocktails and the right glass to use.

Sweet, sour and brightly colored
Sourz is a fruit liqueur with a sweet-and-sour taste, developed for shots and simple mixed drinks. The brand started in Great Britain with Sour Apple, the bright green apple liqueur that became a hit in pubs and at student parties. Sourz is part of Suntory Global Spirits (formerly Beam Suntory) and is widely consumed in Great Britain and the Netherlands.
With 15% alcohol, Sourz is mild, and its balance of sweet and sour makes it easy to drink a shot in one go. There are now six flavors, from Red Berry to Passionfruit. Sourz mixes well with 7-Up, tonic or soda and is the basis of a quick Appletini.
In brief
What Sourz flavors are available?

Sourz Sour Apple
The original and bestseller: bright green, sour and sweet like an apple candy. The basis of the Appletini.

Sourz Red Berry
Strawberry and raspberry with a sour twist. The sweetest of the six, bright red in the glass.

Sourz Raspberry
Full-bodied raspberry with a fresh, sour finish. Delicious with soda or prosecco.

Sourz Blackcurrant
Deep purple, with the flavor of blackcurrant and cassis. Slightly less sweet than Red Berry.

Sourz Mango
Tropical mango with a sour edge. The summery flavor, delicious with soda and lime.

Sourz Passionfruit
Passionfruit, sweet and fresh at the same time. Works as a quick base for a Pornstar Martini-style drink.
Sour Apple is the classic; Red Berry is the sweetest; Passionfruit is the surprise.
Sour candy in a glass
Green apple & candy
Sour Apple smells like sour apple candy; the other flavors smell like their respective fruit, always with a sweet, candy-like note.
Sweet and sour at once
Sweet at first, followed by a sharp sour tang that balances the sweetness. Light and fresh, especially when ice-cold.
Short and fresh
A short, fresh finish without an alcoholic warmth. You can barely taste the 15% alcohol.
Sourz Sour Apple's flavor profile when ice-cold. Red Berry is sweeter, while Blackcurrant and Mango are slightly drier.
Three ways to drink Sourz
Sourz is best served ice-cold. Put the bottle in the refrigerator or freezer; the sugar keeps it from freezing.
Ice-cold as a shot
Pour 2 to 4 cl straight from the freezer into a shot glass and drink in one go. For a 'sour bomb', drop the shot into a glass of energy drink.
Glass: shot glass →Sourz with 7-Up
50 ml Sourz with 150 ml 7-Up or Sprite in a highball glass full of ice. Refreshing, sweet and sour, and ready in ten seconds. Tonic makes it slightly drier.
Glass: highball glass →Appletini
40 ml vodka, 30 ml Sourz Sour Apple and 15 ml lemon juice, shaken with ice and strained into a martini glass. Garnish with a slice of green apple.

The quickest long drink with Sourz. The liqueur's sweet-and-sour flavor and the fizz of the soda balance each other, as long as everything is ice-cold.
What you need
5 cl Sourz, such as Sour Apple
15 cl cold 7-Up or Sprite
A highball glass full of ice cubes
A thin slice of green apple or lime
How to make it
1. Put the bottle of Sourz in the freezer or refrigerator and chill the soda.
2. Fill a highball glass to the rim with ice.
3. Pour the Sourz over the ice.
4. Top up with the soda and stir briefly once.
5. Garnish with the apple or lime slice.
Tip
Using tonic instead of soda makes it drier and less sweet. Want a cocktail? Make the Appletini with Sourz Sour Apple. View our highball glasses.
