What is Jägermeister Orange?

Jägermeister with a citrus twist

Jägermeister Orange comes from Mast-Jägermeister in Wolfenbüttel, which is also where the regular green bottle comes from. It is the same well-known herbal liqueur, enhanced with natural ingredients such as Sicilian oranges, mandarins, and citrus oil. The spices remain noticeable, but the orange takes the lead.

As a result, Orange is fruitier and fresher than the original, with less bitterness. At 33%, it is also slightly lighter than the classic Jägermeister at 35%. It is strikingly bright in the bottle and works just as well served ice-cold as a shot or mixed with tonic or energy drink.

How to drink it

Ice-cold, with tonic, or as a bomb

The manufacturer recommends Orange ice-cold as a shot, but also considers it suitable as a mixer. The citrus makes it easier to combine than regular Jäger.

Ice-cold as a shot

Keep the bottle in the freezer and pour 2 cl into a chilled shot glass. This makes it thick and smooth, with orange first and spices afterward.
