What is Orange Liqueur?

Orange in a bottle

Hooghoudt Orange Liqueur is a fresh, sweet, fruity liqueur with 20% alcohol. It is also known as Wilhelmus liqueur, and that name already tells you when it most often appears on the table: around King's Day and for anything that needs to be orange.

It is a true liqueur: sweet, fruity, and low in alcohol, very different from the jenever and beerenburg made by the same distillery. Hooghoudt intends it both for drinking neat and for use in a mixed drink or cocktail. A splash in bubbles or orange juice is all it takes for a festive orange drink.
