Hennessy Paradis
Dozens of very old eaux-de-vie, each aged for at least 25 years and often much longer. Paradis is not a cognac to mix, but to taste mindfully, at room temperature and in a proper glass.

Dozens of eaux-de-vie aged for at least 25 years
Hennessy Paradis is a blend of dozens of very old eaux-de-vie. Each has aged in oak for at least 25 years, and often many decades longer. By comparison, ten years is the minimum for an XO. You can taste that difference in the smoothness and in the way the flavor reveals itself layer by layer.
Where XO is powerful and woody, Paradis is more refined: dark fruit and plums, honeysuckle and a spicy note from the old oak, without the wood taking over. It's the bottle for a special moment, and also one that would be wasted in a cocktail.
In brief
Plums, honeysuckle and old oak
Honeysuckle & dark fruit
Floral and fruity at the same time: honeysuckle, plums and dark fruit, carried by soft oak.
Silky smooth
Silky smooth and rich, with plum and refined spicy notes. The alcohol is barely noticeable.
Endlessly long
A very long, harmonious finish that slowly continues to unfold. Something new appears after every sip.
Flavor profile of Hennessy Paradis neat at room temperature. Less woody than the XO, but fruitier and more floral.
A ritual for a special bottle
Paradis calls for calm. No ice, no water and no hurry: let the glass and time do the work.
Small pour, big glass
Pour no more than 25 ml into a tulip-shaped cognac glass. This gives the cognac room to breathe and keeps the floral notes in the glass.
Cognac glasses →Smelling in three steps
First smell from a distance from the glass, then at the rim, and finally deeper inside the glass. You smell flowers, fruit and wood in succession. Only then take a small sip.
Tasting glasses →After dinner
At the end of a dinner, after coffee, with a few plain chocolates or dried plums. The fruit on the table reflects the fruit in the glass.
The right glass →Cognac cocktails, but not with this bottle
You don't mix Paradis itself. If you want a cognac cocktail, choose the VS or VSOP from the same house. These are the classics that work best with them.
