Rémy Martin XO
Juicy plum, ripe fig, candied orange and a hint of jasmine. XO is Rémy Martin's cognac to sip slowly, after a meal and in a good glass.

Extra Old, and you can taste it
XO stands for Extra Old: the youngest eau-de-vie in the bottle must be at least ten years old. For the XO, Rémy Martin blends around four hundred eaux-de-vie aged from 10 to 37 years, exclusively from grapes grown in the finest vineyards of Grande and Petite Champagne. Long aging in oak makes it deeper and more complex than the VSOP and the 1738.
The result is a full-bodied cognac with notes of juicy plums, ripe figs and candied orange, with subtle accents of white flowers such as jasmine and iris. The finish is very long and silky smooth. At 40% alcohol, it is no stronger than the VSOP, just much more layered.

How to taste Rémy Martin XO
An XO is best enjoyed neat, at room temperature and without rushing. Give it time in the glass and take small sips.
Let it breathe
Pour 30 ml into a tulip-shaped cognac glass and let it stand for ten minutes. Hold the glass in your palm; the warmth opens up the figs and flowers.
Cognac glasses →Tasting in three steps
First smell the rim of the glass, then deeper inside. Take a small sip and let it rest on your tongue for a moment. Then exhale through your nose: only then does the long finish emerge.
Tasting glasses →With coffee and chocolate
After dinner, alongside an espresso and a piece of dark chocolate. The bitterness of coffee and cacao brings out the candied fruit in the XO.
Coffee and drinks →After dinner: cognac with coffee and cream
An XO is best enjoyed neat. If you still want to mix it, choose a dessert cocktail in which the cognac does not disappear.
