Alcohol-free spritz
An alcohol-free spritz as an aperitif. Fresh, slightly bitter and beautiful in a large glass.
To the recipe →A concentrated alcohol-free elixir
Sapinca is a brand of organic, vegan and alcohol-free drinks. Each bottle is a concentrated blend of roots, herbs or fruit. The Root Elixir is made from ten root varieties, mostly from South America. The label lists, among other ingredients, ginger, turmeric, maca, yacon, galangal and liquorice root. It is sweetened with blue agave.
You drink Sapinca in small quantities. A small shot neat, or a splash diluted with sparkling water or hot water. According to the maker, this gives you 20 to 25 glasses from one bottle. You can also use it as a base for a mocktail, or as a flavouring in a cocktail with alcohol. Store the bottle in the refrigerator after opening.

Herbal, earthy and with a kick
Spicy & earthy
Ginger and turmeric add warmth and spice, while the agave brings a gentle sweetness. A hint of licorice in the background.
Fruity & rounded
The same earthy character, with more fruit. Softer, making it an easy introduction.
Fresh & green
Herbs and plants take center stage. Fresh and herbal, and the least sweet of the three.
Flavor profile of the Root Elixir, neat. Diluted, everything becomes much milder.
Three ways to drink Sapinca
A little is enough: the maker recommends about 2.5 cl per glass. Shake the bottle before pouring.
As a shot
2.5 cl neat in a small glass. This is how you taste the elixir at its strongest. It tastes best chilled from the refrigerator.
Glass: shot glass →With sparkling water over ice
2.5 cl Sapinca in a tumbler with ice, topped up with sparkling water. Add a slice of lemon or a sprig of mint for a herbal soft drink.
Glass: tumbler →Warm
2.5 cl in 20 cl hot water, like a kind of herbal tea. Delicious on a cold day, optionally with a slice of lemon.
Hot Toddy →Cocktails and mocktails with Sapinca
Use 1 to 3 cl Sapinca as a base for a mocktail, or as a herbal twist in a cocktail. Recipes with ginger and citrus work best.

Moscow Mule
Lime and ginger beer with a dash of Root Elixir. With or without vodka.
Penicillin
Whisky with lemon, honey and ginger. Sapinca makes it even more herbal.
Hot Toddy
Hot water with lemon and honey. With Sapinca instead of whisky, it becomes a warm alcohol-free drink.
Gin and tonic
A dash of Herb Elixir with tonic over ice. With alcohol-free gin, it becomes a 0.0 version.Everything you still wanted to know about Sapinca
