Place the strainer with the convex side facing up in your mixing glass, hold it in place with your index finger, and pour out your stirred cocktail clear while the ice stays behind. At approximately 17 cm long, it sits comfortably in the hand and fits virtually any mixing glass or Boston shaker.

For stirred cocktails

While a Hawthorne strainer is mainly used for shaken drinks, the julep strainer is intended for everything you stir: a Martini, Manhattan, Negroni, or of course the Mint Julep, after which it is named. The round perforations hold back ice and mint leaves without slowing down the drink. It is made from stainless steel with a gold-colored finish, giving you both the durability of professional-quality barware and a luxurious look.

Care and collection

Rinse the strainer immediately after use and dry it with a soft cloth; hand-washing keeps the gold-colored layer looking its best for the longest time.
